Tesla owner James Locke criticized the FSD beta on Twitter, stating that “unfortunately I have to say I have yet to step in to fix #FSDBeta 10.69 in my region. There is still a lot of work to do”.
“I know that’s probably not popular opinion, but focusing on the ‘Chuck’ preempts the needs of some more fundamental control issues,” he wrote.
An angry Musk replied, “10.69 is in limited release for a reason. Please do not ask to be included in early betas and then complain. »
Locke said he received “angry comments about my comments like this”.
“Honored to be a beta tester for this amazing product,” he later tweeted.
Musk said the company would raise the price of its FSD software to $15,000 after it was widely released.
He said the new price will go into effect in North America from September 5.
“After the wide release of FSD Beta 10.69.2, the price of FSD will increase to $15,000 in North America on September 5th. The current price will be honored for orders placed before September 5 but delivered later,” he posted.
Tesla has come under scrutiny over the controversial Autopilot advanced driver assistance system that is believed to have killed scores, with federal and state regulators mounting pressure on the electric car maker.
Earlier this month, the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) accused Tesla, led by Musk, of making false claims regarding its Autopilot and FSD features.
