If you think Elon Musk lives in a huge house equipped with the latest technologies developed by his companies, think again. Yes, the eccentric entrepreneur and, incidentally, the richest man in the world has no fixed address! Without a house to his name, he prefers to put his suitcases with his friends depending on where his business takes him.
“I don’t even own a house right now. I literally stay with friends. If I travel to the San Francisco Bay side, where most of Tesla’s engineering sites are, I alternate between my friends’ free rooms,” the Tesla and SpaceX boss said during a recent TED interview given following his hostile takeover on Twitter.
On another planet
Similarly, Elon Musk, whose fortune is estimated by Forbes at $270 billion, leads a lifestyle that could almost be described as frugal. Entirely dedicated to his businesses, the billionaire consumes absolutely nothing, and his only real expenses concern his private jet. “If I don’t use the plane, then I have fewer hours to work,” he explained.
Elon Musk was already announcing in 2020. “I sell almost all my physical possessions. I will no longer own a house,” he had tweeted at the time.
But what could be more coherent for someone who sees the future of humanity on Mars?
