Elon Musk spoke to Kanye West after his anti-Semitic tweets

After the anti-Semitic remarks made by Kanye West on Twitter, Elon Musk contacted him. That’s what the SpaceX boss said on the microblogging site, as the rapper’s account was suspended as a result.

Kanye West had notably claimed that Puff Daddy, who had obviously offered to discuss to help him, was influenced by the “Jewish people”. He then wrote that he was going to go into “death con 3 on the Jews” mode, referring to Defcon, the alert status used by the American army.

The control of Twitter in the line of sight

“The funny thing is, I can’t be anti-Semitic, because black people are actually Jewish too. You have toyed with me and tried to test anyone who opposes your agenda,” he later posted. This last comment echoes the theories of the extremist group Black Hebrew Israelite, which claims that black people are descendants of the ancient tribe of Israel.

Kanye West started the week by causing a scandal during Fashion Week with a “White Lives Matter” t-shirt. This slogan was born in the ranks of the far right and neo-Nazi movements in the United States, in response to Black Lives Matter for the defense of the civil rights of African-Americans.

Following these remarks, Elon Musk said he was “worried” for the rapper. “I spoke to Ye today and expressed my concern to him about his recent tweet, which I believe affected him,” said writing business man.

The billionaire has been close to Kanye West since the rapper ran for the US presidential election, but his “worry” is not necessarily only on a human level. Elon Musk is in the process of taking over Twitter and the billionaire has notably promised to change the moderation system in the name of freedom of expression.

If anti-Semitism, racism and harassment of minorities are the future of the microblogging site once in the hands of Elon Musk, not sure that the transaction will succeed, even with the 44 billion dollars put on the table by the boss from SpaceX.
