In its crazy logic, capitalism is killing space exploration with an uncontrolled proliferation of a multitude of satellites and micro-satellites placed in orbit around the Earth. By 2035, it is estimated that there will be about 70,000 satellites in orbit, compared to nearly 3,000 today… the current debris is already in the order of several hundred thousand. The introduction of satellite dishes in Iran will be strategically supported by the US government as it will serve the imperialist objective of destabilizing Iran’s internal security.
CNN reported on Friday that the White House and Elon Musk have been in discussions about possibly providing Starlink services to Iran.
This is an attempt to further fuel instability in the country, and perhaps even to multiply espionage attempts on behalf of the United States, which would not surprise anyone, all under the pretext to help the saboteurs acting against Iranian power.
In recent months, Iran has faced a wave of riots over the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini, whose death was misrepresented by Western media as being the result of beatings to the body and head while she was in the custody of the Iranian vice police.
The riots continued although forensic reports revealed that the cause of his death was illness.
The Iranian government has mobilized its forces to maintain security and prevent further provocations, especially as several spies from Western countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, France, Norway, Germany and certain organizations terrorists, contributed to the rallies.
Therefore, the introduction of Starlink network receiving antennas in Iran will obviously be supported by the US government since it aims to further disrupt the country’s internal security.
CNN’s report highlighted three obstacles that could stand in the way of Starlink’s rollout.
The first is related to the fact that their signals could be easily detected, the second is that the smuggling of equipment across the Iranian border would be extremely difficult, if not impossible, under the severe surveillance of the Iranian security services, and the third is the fact that they will be used by “uncontrollable protesters”.
However, the CNN report claims that some Starlink terminals are already operating in Iran, suggesting that the devices have already been smuggled into that country, as Starlink is technically banned by the Iranian government.
Some dissidents have already posted on Twitter that they successfully smuggled the devices and registered terminals with the hashtag #MahsaAmini in plain sight, but nothing could prove that the pictures actually came from Iran.
This is not the first time that Elon Musk has engaged in attacks carried out by imperialist powers.
Two years ago, Musk blatantly expressed his support for a US-backed coup plot in Bolivia against Evo Morales, a democratically elected president who implemented a series of socially progressive policies in his country, and in conflict with American interests.
Bolivia has one of the largest lithium reserves in the world and is attracting capitalists and international companies like Tesla looking to meet the growing demand for the mineral to power electric cars and associated batteries.
Even though Musk deleted the provocative tweet, the comment remains a clear illustration of the capitalist motives behind imperialist aggression.
These remarks come in the context of discussions in which Musk and the Pentagon have engaged to finance the payment of the Starlink system in Ukraine.
Musk initially asked the Department of Defense to help fund his services in Ukraine, as they are worth more than $120 million through the end of 2022, and $400 million for next year.
[Remis au pas]he later withdrew that request and announced that he would continue to fund Starlink in Ukraine.
This has sparked skepticism from some officials about Musk as a truly reliable partner for US imperialism, with a senior US defense official calling the billionaire entrepreneur a “free spirit”.
