A resident of downtown Crémieu did not hesitate to take out his gun, exasperated by the presence of dog droppings on the sidewalk in front of his home.
The scene took place on the evening of Thursday, June 9, in the narrow rue du Marché-Vieux. Around 9 p.m., a couple was walking their dog when a resident, hearing the animal barking, came out of his house. Seeming to be drunk, the man, quite upset, said he was overwhelmed by the presence of droppings that were not picked up by the owners. Then he goes home before coming out, gun in hand. As the couple took fright, local residents, alerted by the sharp words spoken by their neighbor, went out into the street. And try to bring him back to his senses. Alerted, the gendarmes quickly arrive on the scene, before the situation degenerates.
The man was arrested and taken into custody. According to the investigations carried out by the investigators, and the hearings of witnesses, it was established that the weapon was, fortunately, not loaded. Seized, the rifle will be destroyed on the instruction of the Bourgoin-Jallieu prosecutor’s office. As for the man, he will be free to explain his behavior in the context of a criminal composition.
