Notice to aficionados of the donut : a new sign specializing in this donut in the shape of a ring arrives at Rouen (Seine Maritime). Chill opens its first coffee-shop, Republic streetWednesday August 24, 2022. For the occasion, the first 100 customers will be offered a box of donuts.

Donuts and cookies in “mini” format

Chill was started by two sisters, Khera Mezioud and Nadia Djekboubi. They have been working on this project “for a year”, traces the first contact by telephone. Their concept? Offer American pastries in a “mini” format (which actually corresponds to a “medium” size).

It’s more practical than the big donuts or the big cookies that we usually find and that we cut into several parts to allow everyone to taste. There, everyone can have their own.

M&M’s, Kinder Bueno, Kit Kat… The flavors on offer are meant to be “gourmet”. The menu also contains “lighter” and fruitier recipes (passion fruit, lemon, mango, etc.). In all, about twenty flavors are offered.

To discover them, the coffee-shop opens its doors on Wednesday at 2 p.m. 100 boxes containing two mini donuts will be offered. First come, first served!

If the donut dough comes from an American supplier, the assembly of the pastries is done in store. As for the cookies, “they are homemade from A to Z”, assures Khera.

Everything on display is fresh daily, there is no resale the next day.

Donuts and cookies are sold €1.90 each. As a refreshment, there are also smoothies, lemonades and bubble tea. “We work with a Taiwanese supplier [pays d’origine de cette boisson, NDLR] ; the tapioca pearls are cooked on site the same morning. »

Present “within a few weeks” on home delivery platforms and anti-waste applications, the coffee-shop can also welcome its customers in a “nice atmosphere”, according to the manager: sofas, decoration in roses and playlists musical.
