Inter deplores a “disguised threat” from Al-Khelaïfi in the Skriniar case

Inter Milan sporting director Giuseppe Marotta confirms ahead of his side’s game against Lazio that their defender Milan Skriniar should stay at the club. Putting an end to the PSG rumor and “a threat” which would have been orchestrated by its president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi.

Giuseppe Marotta settles his accounts. While his central defender Milan Skriniar should not leave Inter Milan, and even less to join Paris Saint-Germain, the Italian sporting director tackles Parisian president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi. The latter would have informed him that PSG would not hesitate to try to recruit the Slovak international free, at the end of the contract in a year. A “threat” swept away by the internal leader, during a speech on the sidelines of his team’s match against Lazio (3-1 defeat).

“Milan is a good boy, declared Giuseppe Marotta. We will start discussions with him and to link him to Inter for several years. I am confident and optimistic about the seriousness of Milan. This disguised threat is not enough to offend the player’s values.

This Friday, the Italian press announced that the Slovak defender was now close to extra time with the Nerazzurri and that the club would have refused a last offer from PSG. Last week, RMC Sport already indicated that Inter had closed the door to the champion of France. Information confirmed in the meantime by coach Simone Inzaghi.

“I can say that the owner of the club expressed, last week, the desire not to be cajoled by PSG, informs Marotta this Friday evening at the microphone of DAZN. I can affirm that Skriniar is an important element in the system of our team and that he will certainly stay with us”.
