Mercato: Exchanges but no agreement between Zidane and PSG (LP)

Priority of the Qatari owners of the club for years, Zinédine Zidane has still not found any agreement with PSG. So much so that everything indicates that it is rather Christophe Galtier who will recover the PSG bench this summer.

Zinédine Zidane was recently in Paris for several promotional operations, but the prospect of seeing him on the PSG bench next season is dwindling day by day, as the press of the day reminds us. It is not really the will of the Parisian club that is missing, the Qatari decision-makers having made it their priority for several years now, but the negotiations are unsuccessful between the former coach of Real Madrid and PSG.

As Le Parisien explains again in its edition of the day, Zidane and PSG have indeed been in negotiations lately but “No agreement was ever reached between the two parties”, the former number 10 of the Blues still aiming first and foremost for the position of coach of the France team rather than the Parisian bench. At PSG, everything is always possible but the trend does indeed send another Marseille player to the bench, Christophe Galtier.

Because if Zidane is dragging his feet to come, the current Nice coach is only asking to join Paris where he would find his friend in Lille Luis Campos. Long considered the track of the new Parisian sports director, Galtier is now a name validated by everyone from Doha to Paris, hence the arrival in the negotiations of Parisian president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi as revealed yesterday by Le Parisien.

The regional newspaper also estimates that the arrival of Galtier should cost around € 5 million to PSG, the two clubs wishing to reach an agreement. However, it is not expected in this case an outcome over the weekend, the Pochettino case dragging on.
