No national security investigation into Elon Musk in sight, says White House

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The White House on Monday denied press claims that the United States was considering launching a national security probe into some of Elon Musk’s investments.

White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre declined to comment on the quality of relations between Joe Biden’s administration and the businessman as well as on Elon Musk’s activities involving d ‘other countries.

Asked about an article published last week by Bloomberg reporting discussions within the Biden administration about a possible review of certain investments of Elon Musk on the level of American national security, Karine Jean-Pierre replied : “This information is not true (…) The examination in terms of national security, it is not true.”
