On its website, Animal Protection Action has launched a call for donations to help Oslo, a 4-year-old French bulldog. The animal “cachectic and which hardly manages to stand up” was discovered in Blanc-Mesnil (Seine-Saint-Denis), tied in the bushes.
“For the time being, we don’t know how he ended up there, or why he is in this state. We do know, however, that he was abandoned in these bushes, probably to die there discreetly, and that he was cruelly lacked food for weeks”, specifies Animal Protection Action, indicating that the animal “suffers from many gaping and infected wounds which make it suffer excruciatingly”.
At Le Parisien, Anne-Claire Chauvancy, the president of the association, explains “not knowing what happened”. “The dog could be identified because he was wearing a collar, but when his owners were called they said he had lost him two years ago and they no longer lived in the Paris region. didn’t seem to take much interest in their dog’s condition, but then they apparently reported to the police,” she adds.
Animal Protection Action has filed a complaint for voluntary abandonment and is funding Oslo’s hospitalization in a veterinary clinic.
