Yungblud has a “full psychedelic rock album” ready and waiting.
The “Fleabag” rocker is sitting on the collection and wants to release it all at once, without any singles.
He told Billy Corgan’s “Thirty-Three With William Patrick Corgan”: “I have another album, I don’t know when it’s coming out,” Harrison said.
“It was recorded around New Years Day 2021…we have
made a full psychedelic rock album in a month and it’s just laid
there, and I don’t know when it’s coming out yet.”
He continues, “I just want to let it go and make it a thing. I don’t want to do a psychedelic rock album. There are no singles, just kind of a feeling throughout. album that I just want to drop at some point.
Last month, Yungblud announced that their next album would feature synthesizers.
The “Funeral” star’s sequel to his recently released self-titled LP is influenced by synth pioneers Joy Division and post-punk icons The Smiths.
The musician – whose real name is Dom Harrison – said: “I’ve already started on album four, which has a lot more synths, very Joy Division with a bit of The Smiths.
“That’s where I’m going, because album four has the potential to headline festivals all over the world.”
The 25-year-old musician’s latest album is deeply personal, hence the name “YUNGBLUD”.
He explains: “In the past, my music was an uncensored representation of the ****** world and what I think about the world, even if I don’t agree with myself afterwards.
“It’s always about a person’s story, their sexuality, politics, Brexit, etc. This album is very much about the ‘I’.”
